Saturday was a busy day for the Democrats.  It was their deadline for raising money.  Consequently, the sent me not one, not two, but three emails.  Too bad I did not receive the messages until Sunday evening since the fund raiser deadline was Saturday night.  Oh, wait, I am not a Democrat any longer, so it doesn't matter when I receive the message because I won't be donating to the DNC!

The first message was from Howard Dean which was the first I have read from him. President Barack Obama and Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz each sent me a message which was the second one I have received from them.  As each of them explained, the reason for their messages was to express their great need for me to donate $3.00 or more to the Republican Party so they could defeat the Democrats.

Amazingly, after so many emails flying back and forth, the members of the DNC still do not understand I want the Democrats to defeat the Republicans.  I wonder what it will take to make them understand I am no longer interested in supporting Democrats and their policies?  Obviously, writing an individual message in response to each message sent to me by a Republican.  I am sending the very same message to all three of them.  Perhaps if the DNC receives three identical messages, someone will read at least one of them?  At least, that is my plan.

First, let me provide you with the President Barack Obama's message:

 Donna --

Today is one of the most important fundraising deadlines of this campaign so far.

We might not outraise Mitt Romney.

But I am determined to keep the margin close enough that we can win this election the right way.

To do that I need your help today.

Please donate $3 or more before tonight's deadline:

The stakes in this election are real. Thanks for all your support so far.

Good week.

Barack

It seems to me the President could benefit from a creative writing class.  Did you notice every paragraph was a single sentence?  I am going to hazard a guess that his best speech writers were busy planning for his two day bus tour and did not have time to make his message more interesting.  I also imagine his high school English teachers were appalled to discover the President did not know a paragraph is supposed to have at least three sentences.  The writer in me could not resist the opportunity to point out the poor quality of the President's writing, it it is picky of me.

Next is Governor Howard Dean who is not only a former Presidential hopeful for 208, but he is the former chair of the DNC.  Here is his message to me:

 Donna --

I know that your inbox can start to be pretty cluttered when a big fundraising deadline like tonight's is coming up.

But as a former chair of the Democratic Party, I can also tell you how truly important these deadlines are.

Critics, pundits, and our opponents will judge our strength in this election year by how much money we raise by the deadline at midnight tonight.

Even more importantly, we'll be counting every last dollar to see if we have enough to carry out our plans on the ground across the country. It all comes down to whether we have the money to win.

Donate $3 or whatever you can today to ensure that we have the resources we need to win in November.

If you've been paying attention to the news, you may have heard some critics saying that Democrats just aren't fired up this year or that Republicans have more momentum going into this FEC deadline.

But you and I know that's simply not the case. Democrats are ready to fight -- we couldn't be more excited to ensure that our President is re-elected and that Democrats across the country are able to keep fighting for progress.

Let's not give those critics a chance to say "I told you so." We need you to help us blow through expectations and show everyone just how motivated Democrats are.

The deadline's tonight.

Donate $3 or whatever you can today:

Thanks,

Gov. Howard Dean

It is apparent Governor Dean recognizes the importance of the FEC deadline last night was.    I also found it interesting to see his concern over the possibility of critics making the comment, "I told you so."  I would think one of the first things a good politician would need is thick skin which can remain strong but supple regardless of what critics might say or right.  Of course, Governor Dean was never known for holding back, now was he?  Okay, that was a low blow, but it was also irresistible, too.

The final message is from Representative Cheryl Wasserman Schultz, who is the current chair for the DNC.  Here is her message:

  Donna --

I like sending you emails on Saturdays about as much as you probably like receiving them.

But I'm doing it because the stakes this year are so incredibly high. Your help could be part of what makes or breaks races for Democrats across the country. No joke. That's the difference your support can make.

So let's make a deal:

You pitch in $3, or really whatever you can, before our critical FEC fundraising deadline tonight to help those Democrats out:

https://my.democrats.org/Support-Democrats

And I promise you, this will be the last email you get from me today.

Enjoy your weekend -- and thank you, ever so much.

Debbie

I find it odd the three are more concerned about raising the money needed by FEC than they are about the message and platform of the President.  The only real fear I have read in any message from Democrat leaders this past week concerned whether Mitt Romney was elected, would he repeal the Affordable Care Act and how quickly would he do so.  While I do believe it is very important for the new President once elected to repeal Obama Care as quickly as possible, it is not the only issue of which I am concerned.

President Obama has had three and a half years to rectify the problem of not enough jobs for Americans.  I do not believe he has clue as to how big this problem is or how to solve it.  He never had the necessary experience to be President of the United States,   The proof of his inability can be seen in examples like my own husband who would like nothing more than to be working again.  Unfortunately, there are no jobs for someone with his experience and talent.  It does not matter my husband is a veteran of the first gulf war and Columbia, there simply are not enough jobs to be had.  President Obama sadly has no real plan for solving this problem.

Mr. Romney, on the other hand, is both a politician and a business man.  He knows how to govern, and he knows business.  In today's world it is essential for the US President to be able to walk through both worlds effortlessly and knowledgeably.  Unfortunately, President Obama cannot do this.

It seems to me the only focus of the Democratic Party is to re-elect President Obama.  The impetus behind this focus is to maintain the Affordable Care Act.  The two things are so entwined I have come to conclusion Democrats do not recognize any difference between the re-election of President Obama and preserving Obama Care.  It is no wonder both carry the same name, is it?

Of course, who can blame the Democrats for feeling this way?  What accomplishments can the President claim?  While I do not believe Obama Care is right for our country and its citizens.  It is, however, an accomplishment President Obama managed to sweat enough palms and turn enough cauliflower ears to create its passage prior to the election.  I personally think he may live to regret its passage since so many American voters opposed it.

The only other claim to fame President Obama has is the capture and assassination of Bin Laden.  The problem with this claim is while it took a Presidential order to say, "Do it," he really had very little to do with the accomplishment.  Any pride in or praise for the accomplishment go solely to the brave Navy SEALS who put their lives at risk to prevent the loss of additional American lives.

I heard on HLN this morning the nation is basically 50/50 when as to whom would be elected if the vote for the Presidency were taken today.  However, if this same poll is studied by key states and the electoral college votes, it would lead to a clear win for Mitt Romney.  I found this news to be particularly exciting and worthy of joy.

I cannot help but wonder how the Democrats feel this morning.  Did they meet their financial goals?  Since I have as yet to receive an email from any Democrat today, I am left wondering if their fundraiser did not raise funds in the manner hoped and planned.

Is it possible perhaps, the Democrats have awakened to the knowledge their goals to meet the FEC deadline did not go as expected?  And, was that possible bad news followed by the report showing if the elections was held today, Mitt Romney would be elected President?  My little newly-Republican heart beats with joy at such a thought.

I wonder if any Democrat is going to read my responses?  (I'm referring to the individual responses which I sent to each of three DNC members who emailed me on Saturday.)  Will someone actually recognize my initial and every subsequent email was for one purpose and one purpose only -- to explain why I left the Democratic Party and became a Republican?  Experience tells me no Democrat will make this discovery because the DNC does not believe anyone would leave the party.  It will take the November elections for them to understand how unhappy people are with the President and Democrats in general.  Of course, when Obama loses the election, the DNC will most likely claim it is because the Republicans were able to outspend the Democrats.
