It has been several days since I had received no new messages. I was beginning to think the Democratic National Committee finally understood I had changed political parties. However, today I received a message from Michelle Obama which I will share a little further down in today's blog.
First, I want to comment on some of the strange and appalling campaign tactics being used by President Barack Obama and the DNC:
Include Donations to Re-elect President Obama on Bridal Registries
I just learned a few minutes ago on HLN how Democrats are now asking people to list, "Donate to the Democratic Party and President Obama's Re-election," on their wedding register. Is it possible for President Obama and the DNC to stoop any lower than this? I want to meet the bride and groom who would prefer their friends and family donate to President Obama's re-election campaign as opposed to items they need to set-up their new home. Obviously, the only couples who would do this have been previously married and need nothing more for their home and are also die-hard Democrats. This has to be one of the most ridiculous and offensive suggestions to be made by any political campaign in the history of our wonderful country.
Lies Being Televised by President Obama and the DNC
I can't help wondering if there are other individuals who are getting sick and tired of hearing and reading about the lies President Obama and the DNC are telling about Mitt Romney. Several sourced, including other Democrats, have denounced the campaign ads from the DNC and President Obama which claim Mitt Romney was outsourcing jobs to China. Repeatedly, documentation has been made public to prove Mr. Romney was not employed by the company which outsourced jobs to China.
At the time this company outsourced jobs, Mr. Romney was busily working to keep the Olympics in Utah when the international committee was considering moving the Olympics. I find it very odd the DNC and President Obama would make these accusations even after other members of their own party have publicly admitted the claims were not true. Campaign ads are known for making promises which when elected are then denounced as impossible to achieve; such as President Obama and other Democrats' campaign promises to provide tuition-free community college educations to those unemployed while allowing these individuals to continue to receive unemployment benefits. However, Democrats have reached a new low by lying to Americans about Mitt Romney having outsourced jobs to China.
I have heard members on all sides of the political arena call for changes in political campaigns. There have been discussions about P.A.C. participation, amount of funding campaigns can receive from various sources, as well as other issues. I think the first change needed has to be a requirement for all campaign advertisements to be truthful.
Who wants to vote for an individual who has lied throughout the campaign? If politicians will lie during their campaign to be elected to office, then it should surprise no one when the newly elected individuals continue to lie and behave deviously while performing the responsibilities of their offices. As they say, "You get what you pay for." While that adage uses improper English, it is prove truthful about President Obama and the DNC apparently.
"This Crisis Hasn't Changed America's Character"
I just heard a news clip on HLN in which President Obama just made the statement, "This crisis hasn't changed America's character." America's character has not changed, but apparently, President Obama's character has. Why else would he choose to voice lies? I guess no one told the President as a child, "When you point a finger in judgement at someone, remember there are still three fingers pointing back to you."
Enough about the President's lies, I promised to display the message from the First Lady, and here it is.
Donna --
Barack turns 51 next month, and there will be a little celebration at our house in Chicago.
We'd like to give grassroots supporters an opportunity to join in the fun. You guys deserve it, and I know Barack would personally love to see you there.
Donate $3 or whatever you can today, and you'll be automatically entered to get your name added to the guest list.
Barack's birthday is one of the last opportunities he'll get for a little downtime before the final weeks of the election.
That won't stop me from teasing him about all those new gray hairs he has -- though I think it's fair to say he's earned every one.
So if you're standing with Barack for the final months of his final campaign, there's no better way to show it than by making a donation to build this grassroots organization today.
If you do, you'll be automatically entered for the chance to join him for his birthday celebration in Chicago. We'll also fly you out and take care of all the travel arrangements.

Thank you,

Mrs. Obama,
I have repeatedly written to the DNC, and even to your husband, to explain I have left the Democratic Party due to my disappointment and disapproval of actions taken by your husband, Nancy Pelosi and the DNC. In other words, I am not "standing Barack for the final months of his campaign," as you wrote in your message. I am no longer a Democrat and have become a Republican.
Even so, I am not so mean I cannot spare a moment to wish the President, "Happy Birthday." Please allow me one month early to say, "Happy Birthday, Mr. President!" I will even say a prayer on your behalf and ask the Lord to bless you with a wonderful birthday; however, I am not going to give you the gift your lovely wife has suggested.
This is a funny campaign, Mrs. Obama. You have requested I donate at least $3.00 for your husband's campaign, and in return my name will be automatically added to the guest list. I realize I, Mrs. Obama, it is an honor to be asked to attend the birthday party of the President of the United States.
Too bad President Obama is turning fifty-one this year. Just imagine the mileage the campaign could get if it were able to advertise his fiftieth birthday as a reason to donate to his campaign! Why the DNC could advertise how the President has lived a year for each state in the country, or a $5.00 donation could be requested since it would be a combination of five cents for each year of the President's life plus five cents for each state in the country. Those $5.00 bills would really come rolling into the DNC with a request like that!
Unfortunately, Mrs. Obama, I do not want to see your husband re-elected. I do not believe he has done a good job in the three and a half years he has held the title, President of the United States of America. His only real accomplishment was the passing of the Affordable Care Act, and since I oppose Obama Care, this particular accomplishment does not endear the Mr. Obama to me.
I have on more than one occasion felt First Ladies had better characters than their spouses who were President, and I feel this is equally true of you. Therefore, I do have to ask a question of you, Mrs. Obama. I am sure you have taught your daughters to possess good moral character, so what will you say to your lovely girls concerning the lies your husband is telling the American people about Mr. Romney and outsourcing jobs to China? I suppose you could have the President comment to his daughters, "Do as your mother and I say, but not as I have done."
Mrs. Obama, I do want to express my gratitude for your willingness to invite me to the birthday party you will be giving for the President at your home in Chicago. It was kind of you to issue the invitation. I must say I do find it a little tacky to make the invitation conditional on my donation to his campaign.
I was raised with the understanding invitations do not mean one should expect a gift in return. A gift, even a $3.00 monetary one, should be freely offered by the one giving the gift. It should not be a condition for receiving an invitation to the party.
I'm sorry, Mrs. Obama, but requesting a gift of $3.00 from me before I am eligible to receive an invitation to President Barack Obama's birthday party seems very tacky of me. I realize I was raised in the south where hospitality is an art form; however, my parents were raised in Pennsylvania. They taught us to have proper manners; thus, I cannot imagine telling someone I will only invite them to my party if they promise to provide a gift.
Again, thank you for the invitation, Mrs. Obama. Sadly, I must decline. Please tell the President I wish him a very happy birthday.
