Bless Their Dear Little Hearts - The Democrats Are Still Begging for $3 Donations

Southerners have a dealing with troublesome people.  They simply comment, "Bless their dear little hearts."  Then they go on about their business as if the bothersome person never existed.

While I am not southern born, I have spent the majority of my life in North Carolina; therefore, I feel I have the right to use the expression.  I have found many instances when "bless their dear little hearts" has come in handy.  Today I have decided it is an appropriate remark for me to say to all Democrats who email me with request that I donate $3 to President Obama's campaign, and, of course, they want me to vote for his re-election.  Bless their dear little hearts.

Below are the emails I have received today from Democrats.  I feel certain anyone reading this will agree with me.  At this point with only two months to go before the election, I know of no better phrase befitting the Democrats.

Donna --

This is my last campaign, and I'm ready to give it all I've got.

I know supporters like you are, too.

Thank you so much for your support in these final weeks.

Please donate $3 or more before tonight's deadline:

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline-Day

Thank you,

Barack

Okay, let's all say it together,  "Bless his dear little heart."  I do not think President Obama, or any other Democrat for that matter, understand I have left the party, and I am thrilled this is Obama's last campaign.  I for one would like to see him lose in November because then we can go about fixing the nation's problems with a President who understands the value of small government, thriving capitalism and a happy, healthy family.

President Obama was not the only one who filled my email box today.

Donna --

I'm going to guess your inbox is pretty full today. But think of it this way: This is one of the last fundraising deadlines before Election Day.

With just 10 weeks left to go, we have limited time to make a difference for Democrats nationwide.

If their races were already in the bag, if they already had all the resources they need, and if we didn't have that much on the line this year, I wouldn't ask you to make a donation today.

But the stakes are high, President Obama and many Democrats across the country are in razor-close races, and these candidates need our help before they head into the final months.

So if you can, please make a donation to Democrats before tonight's critical fundraising deadline:

https://my.democrats.org/Tonights-Deadline

Tomorrow morning, may you wake up to an uncluttered inbox -- and may Democrats in races across the country wake up to see that they're exactly where they need to be.

Thanks for making that difference,

Debbie

Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Chair
Democratic National Committee

P.S. -- We're closer to the finish line than you think. Chip in what you can today.
And, let's all say it again with a changed gender for the  pronoun, "Bless her dear little heart."  I think Democrats are finally becoming concerned.  I think they have just begun to realize the tide is ebbing, and voters are floating away from them.

I was watching HLN, as usual, today.  They were discussing poll results for two important issues.  One was about the economy and the other was unemployment.  For one poll the results were 51% for President Obama and 49% for Mitt Romney; however, the margin of error was 4%.  This means it is entirely possible for the actual percentages to be 46% for President Obama and 54% for Mitt Romney.  The other poll showed Mitt Romney in the lead by 6% points.

These poll results added to dismal fund raising results for Democrats must be terrifying.   They were so certain President Obama's re-election would be easy and definitely a landslide.  Now it is becoming apparent undecided and disappointed, more conservative Democrats are coming around to the idea of voting Republican in November.

I have been predicting this would happen since spring.  When lifetime Democrats like myself realize their President Obama did not fulfill the promises Candidate Obama made, they cannot help but be fed up with him.  They are realizing what I have already discovered:  just because we campaigned and voted for President Obama in November 2008, does not mean we have to do so again.  As the commercial says, "It's okay. "

As Debbie Wasserman Schultz said, there are only 10 weeks left until the election.  The time has come when political candidates are going to use everything in their arsenal to gain the votes of undecided voters and disappointed Democrats.  In many cases this means both parties are going to do everything possible to gain new supporters, and in particular, this means the two parties are campaigning in hope of gaining the women's votes.

Oh, I almost forgot.  Late last night President Obama sent another email which means in less than 24 hours I have received two emails from him.  Both show his desperation for campaign funds.

Donna --

Tonight was their night.

But our focus must be on tomorrow.

The fundraising deadline tomorrow is one of the last we get to build the campaign it takes to win.

Will you donate $3 or more right now?

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline-Tomorrow

I'm proud to be on this team.

Let's go.

Barack

P.S. -- With 68 days to go, I'm counting on you to help us keep pace in spite of unprecedented spending on the other side. Pitch in before the big deadline tomorrow.

Alright, one more time let's say, "Bless his dear little heart."  He was right about one thing.  Last night's finale at the Republican Convention was definitely a Republican night.

I was very impressed with Mitt Romney's acceptance speech.  The more I listen to Romney and also here is family and friends talk about him the more certain I am about my vote in November.  There is no more worthy man to become President of the United States than Mitt Romney.

In 2008 everyone said Obama would restore hope and the American Dream.  It is now 2012, and we all know he was extremely ineffective.  What I do not understand is why he is running for re-election.

In 2008 Barack Obama said if he did not accomplish what he promised he would do, then he should not be re-elected.  The truth is President Obama was a dismal failure.  He broke campaign promises right and left, and as a result our country is in an even worse condition than it was in 2008.  The very least President Obama could do is to keep the campaign promise about not seeking re-election if he failed in keeping his campaign promises.  So, why is he seeking re-election?

Anyone who wants to see hope rising in the hearts of Americans or who wants to see the American Dream will realize Mitt Romney deserves our vote.  Mitt Romney is a family man, a very successful business man and a former governor.  He understands our nations problems, and he know what to do to solve our economy's downswing.  He knows how to create new jobs.

Perhaps most important of all, Mitt Romney understands political power should be in the hands of the people.  He knows big government needs to go.  The federal government needs to be downsized.

There are so many reasons why women should vote for Mitt Romney.  Women will be the most important voting group in this election.  Women will sway the election one way or the other.  I am one women who will cast my vote for Mitt Romney.  Will you join me and vote for him in November?

Today, I once again received another email from the DNC.  This one was from Vice President Joe Biden.  He sure has been busy writing campaign emails and requesting donations of three dollars or more.

Donna --

If we win this election, it will be because of what you did in moments like this to help close the spending gap.

Because this is real: Just last week alone, Mitt Romney's campaign and his allies outspent our side by at least three to one in North Carolina, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, all states we need to win.

That could swing the election -- but it doesn't have to.

Tomorrow is our biggest fundraising deadline so far. Will you make a donation of $3 or more today and help this campaign hang in there for the final two months?

Tonight Mitt Romney will deliver a speech that millions of Americans will hear.

He's going to say a lot of things about Barack Obama, and belittle what we stand for.

When he does, remember the important role you play in the political process. Remember the kind of man our president is, and the tough choices he's had to make from that Oval Office.

Voters in some very important states are hearing distortions and lies from people who've invested a lot to see Barack Obama removed from the White House.

Fight back. Donate $3 or more and make sure your voice is heard just as loud:

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline-Tomorrow

We wouldn't be here without you. Thank you.

Joe

P.S. -- Deciding that the stakes are high enough to do our part isn't a November 6th decision. It's one I'm asking you to make right now, before tomorrow's big fundraising deadline.

What a wonderful country we have!  It's too bad the Democratic Party does not know or understand how to keep our country wonderful and thriving.  I wonder what life will be like should President Obama be re-elected.  How will our country be after four more years of President Obama's Administration?

We already know President Obama does not understand how to solve our nation's changes.  He has proven he does not have the experience needed -- even after four years of on the job training.  No wonder he doesn't know what to do about providing education for unemployed individuals whose jobs are no longer located in the United States.

I am concerned if Obama is re-elected we will see unemployment make even greater highs because Obama does not know how to change the increases in unemployment into decreases.  I worry we will see the economy worsen.  I fear there will be more doctors who will have to turn away patients they had been treating because Obama Care makes it impossible for some doctors to afford to keep their patients, and still Democrats brag about how Obama Care allows patients to choose who will be their doctors.  I am frightened that another four years of Obama as President will mean we owe even more money to China because President Obama believes the only way to increase jobs is to provide bail-outs to businesses and to improve the economy is to offer more stimulus packages.

We cannot afford another four years of an Obama Administration.  Undecided voters and also Democrats need to realize the best hope they held about the United States was on the day the results of the November 2008 election were made.  Sadly, those feelings of optimism quickly died for many of us as President Obama served these past four years.  I so appreciated Mitt Romney's comment about how there was something wrong when the country's hope and elation began when Obama was elected as President but quickly ended as he has held office.

The United States of America does not needs a person in the Oval Office who wastes time talking about hope and change.  We need a president who successfully brings hope and positive change by his actions.  We have not seen this with the President Obama.

There is an adage which states if a wise person does not go around telling others how wise he is.  The meaning, of course, is his wisdom will be apparent in all his actions.  That adage could have been written to describe Mitt Romney.

I sincerely hope and pray female, undecided and previously loyal Democrats will come to this realization before the election.  Others need to realize, as I have, that just because they campaigned and voted for Obama in November 2008 does not mean they have to do so again.  As some of the ads for Mitt Romney suggests, it is okay to change your mind.

Are you kidding me!?  I just received the following email from Howard Dean:

Howard Dean
12:40 PM (2 hours ago)

to me
Donna --

This week, Republicans are gathering in Tampa for their convention, posing for the cameras, falling over each other to prove who's the most severe conservative of them all. There's plenty of angry, misleading rhetoric, but not much in the way of real action or results.

Here's what Democrats are doing this week:

-- Welcoming volunteers to hundreds of field offices in all 50 states
-- Logging hundreds of thousands of volunteer-hours of one-on-one voter outreach, over the phone and at the door
-- Organizing thousands of watch parties for our convention next week

That's just one week for our organization, and it's only going to get more intense from here. Because that's the only way we'll win.

Help make sure we have the resources to get it done by pitching in $5 before our critical fundraising deadline on Friday.

Republicans are in the middle of four days of Obama-bashing and truth-distorting attacks -- and they're hoping it will give them a badly needed bump in the polls. The reality is, we're probably going to see it come true over the next couple days. When the Republicans leave Tampa, it's pretty likely they'll be ahead in the horse race.

That's why Democrats aren't wasting any time.

Our organizers and volunteers are working nationwide and around the clock to get our message out. While Republicans are ramping up the attacks and extremism, we're doubling down on our grassroots strategy. For us, the convention is an opportunity to share our message face to face with as many Americans as possible, culminating in a week of grassroots action immediately after the President officially accepts the nomination.

We're building our organization for the only polls that matter: the ones on November 6th. Your support now, before our fundraising deadline on Friday, is critical to making that happen. Donate $5 or more today:

https://my.democrats.org/August-Deadline

Thanks,

Gov. Howard Dean

P.S. -- Every day, every vote, and every dollar is critical. Donate to support Democrats today.

I cannot believe this email was actually sent.  Is Governor Dean actually whining about the Republican Convention occurring?  Does this mean when the Democratic National Convention occurs in Charlotte, the Republicans can complain about how Democrats are wasting time by holding their convention, too?  Who is he kidding?

I am totally amazed this email was allowed to be sent with those two opening paragraphs.  If I am understanding his words correctly, he is saying Republicans are wasting time holding the convention and making speeches.  On the other hand, Democrats are busy working -- of course, their work is centered on the election and gaining voters.

Isn't the Republican Convention also about getting votes?  What are we to think when the Democrats hold their convention?  Won't Democrats gather in Charlotte "for their convention, posing for the cameras, falling over each other to prove who's the most extreme liberal of them all?  Won't their convention also include plenty of angry rhetoric, but not much in the way of real action or results?

It seems to me this will be especially true for the Democratic Convention since they have had all the last four years to create real action and results for our nation's problems?  Mr. Dean has once again spoken wildly and nonsensically.  This email has to be one of the most idiotic messages I have received from members of the DNC.

It is one more example why I made the right decision when I chose to leave the Democratic Party and become a Republican this year.  I am beginning to wonder if there are any logical, sensible and intelligent thinkers among Democrats.  One thing is certain if there any Democrats who are logical, sensible and intelligent they certainly have not been among those who sent emails to me.  Still this email from Governor Dean has to the most ridiculous of all the ones I have received.

Email from Vice President Biden

I received the following email from Vice President Joe Biden later yesterday afternoon:

Donna --

The Republicans are gathering in Tampa -- and we're nearing one of the most important deadlines in this campaign.

There'll be a lot of chatter this week -- a lot of press, a lot of speculation, and a lot of who's-up-who's-down poll-watching. For many people, this election is going to get real very quickly. And I promise you that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan's backers will be doing some serious spending to take advantage of the spotlight.

Here's my advice:

Keep your eye on the ball.

From an America that respects women, to a health care system that doesn't discriminate against those who need it the most, to an administration that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the middle class, there's a heck of a lot on the line.

If you can, please donate $3 or more before our big deadline on Friday to help support the final phase of Barack's and my campaign -- and help Democrats up and down the ticket win.

When Barack talks about winning this election, he's not just talking about beating the other guys. He's in it for our kids and grandkids.

So while the Republicans gather to finalize their ticket this week, and while Mitt Romney practices his acceptance speech, let's stick together and go win this thing.

Are others as tired as I am of Democrats whining about the Republicans' ability to raise campaign funds?  I think the only other subject on which they are so prolific would be their complaints concerning Republicans making it impossible for the House and Senate to accomplish President Obama's desires.  I have to admit one of the reasons I began to question my longtime participation in the Democratic Party was this habit of whining and blaming others for their inability to accomplish their goals.

It seems to me Democrats are wasting time playing the blame game and whining constantly.  They whined when the federal government was in danger of shutting down because agreements could not be reached between the two parties.  They blamed everything on the Republicans.

What Democrats failed to understand is compromise is a two way street.  Expecting the other side to make all of the concessions does not equal compromise.  Had the Democrats truly wanted to accomplish positive change for our country, they would have found items on which to compromise and work with the other side.  Instead of working for real compromise, they chose to whine and blame, and Democrats continue to do so.

Biden's email sounds like a whining kindergartner.  "Mommy, Timmy won't play the game I want to play.  Make him do what I want.  If you tell him he has to play what I want, then he'll have to do it.  Make him obey, Mommy, and make him do it now!"

A wise mother would respond by suggesting to her whining child, "Why don't you do what Timmy wants to play first, and then Timmy can play what you want afterwards."

That is how compromise works.  Both parties must give a little to receive what they want.  During the Obama Administration, too frequently we heard a cantankerous President, as well as Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats, whine and bemoan the fact Republicans would not do what Democrats wanted.  Not once did we hear Democrats suggest they were willing to make concessions in order to promote compromise which would allow politics to work in favor the American people.

Vice President Biden's email sounds like the whining child again.  He complains that during the Republican National Convention the media is focused more on Republicans than Democrats.  He whines about how Republicans are raising three times more funds than Democrats.  Why doesn't Vice President Biden ask the question, "Why are people willing to give three times more money to the Republican Party than to the Democratic Party?"

Perhaps he is not asking this question because he recognizes the answer would not be favorable for Democrats.  I believe there is a growing number of Americans who have become dissatisfied with the broken promises, whining and blaming so prevalent among Democrats.  There is an increasing number who, like me, are fed up with Democrats who play the blame game, whine and name call.

I believe Americans are coming to the realization Candidate Obama, Nancy Pelosi and high ranking Democrats used smoke and mirrors to obtain the White House in 2008.  People were so pleased to prove the USA truly upheld equality of all individuals in the last Presidential election that they overlooked the fact Candidate Obama did not have the experience and knowledge to accomplish what he promised.

I believe in a United States which still enables the American Dream to be fulfilled.  I believe in a United States in which there is a thriving economy.  I believe the United States can once again have employment opportunities for all who want to work.

Unfortunately, I do not believe Democrats can bring the American Dream to fruition again.  I do not believe President Obama is capable of enabling a  thriving economy.  I do not believe President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic National Party can enable our citizens to obtain jobs for all who seek them.

Democrats made a lot of promises in 2008, but they were unable to keep most of them.  I do not believe President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats are bad people.  Nor do I believe they set out to break campaign promises.

I do believe Democrats did not understand socialized health care, bailouts and stimulus packages were not the answer to the nation's problems.  It is time for Americans to say, "Enough!"  It is time for men and women in our country to reject the band-aid approach to national problems and to choose a president who understands business, the economy, unemployment and how to fix our problems.

That is why I will be voting for Mitt Romney.  It is also why I believe women are beginning to recognize Obama does not understand the problems our country faces.  Women are realizing if they want a better life for their children and their children's children, then Mitt Romney is the only choice for President of the United States in November.

Listen Closely to Bill Clinton's Political Ad for President Obama

What a wonderful speech Mrs. Romney gave last night!  She showed great talent when it came to showing American women why her husband, Mitt Romney is the best choice for President of the United States.  If I wasn't already planning to vote for her husband, her speech would have provided me with reasons why I should change plans and vote for him.

Of course, we knew Democrats were not going to let us simply listen to the speakers at the convention without trying to tell us why Republicans do not have the answers to the nation's problems.  My husband pointed out the latest commercial featuring Former President Bill Clinton.  This morning I listened very carefully to that commercial.

It was after paying very careful attention to Clinton's words I caught a caveat to the commercial.  Clinton begins by saying how Obama will improve the economy and unemployment through job training and better education.  However, the most important words in this campaign ad come at the very end, and they suggest Clinton does not have as much faith in Obama as it appears.

After stating Obama is doing many of the same things he did, Clinton makes a qualitative statement. At the very end Former President Clinton says, "This [referring to Obama's plan for improving the economy and unemployment] will only work if there is a strong middle class."  Those eleven words flowing from his mouth may suggest Clinton has his doubts about Obama's ability to improve our nation's problems.

Why do I make this suggestion?  It's simple.  Does anyone in the country truly believe the United States currently has a strong middle class?  Of course not!

The weakening of the middle class has been one of the main focuses for both political parties.  Everyone agrees the middle class is shrinking, and this decreasing size is not because the middle class is joining the upper class.  No, it is because the middle class is losing its financial stability; therefore, I must ask a question.  Could it be Former President Bill Clinton made that final statement because he knows Obama cannot fix the nation's problems?

I am not going to say my question has a definitive yes for its answer, but I do believe that final comment from Clinton was not incidental.  Former President Bill Clinton knows how to use language with great precision.  He knows how to use words to give the impression he is saying one thing while actually saying something else when it comes to controversy of any sort.

I invite everyone to listen very carefully to the political ad featuring Bill Clinton.  There is no question the Democrats needed the former president's endorsement for he is after all the accomplished elder statesman to the Democratic Party.  Is it possible Clinton agreed to do the commercial, but chose to make that final statement as a qualifier because he has question's about President Obama's ability to solve the problems with the economy and unemployment?

Monday, August 27, 2012

I just finished my message for today and return to read my email.  Immediately, I focused on a second message from the Democratic Party.  This time it was from Vice President Biden and it whines about how Republicans have more money to spend on the election than Democrats.  Read it for yourselves:

Donna --

The pundits and talking heads are talking about how badly we're being outraised by the other side. You've heard it from us, too.

Three months in a row, Mitt Romney and the Republican Party have trounced our fundraising totals. And, along with allied outside groups, they're using that cash to try to obliterate our side on the airwaves, outspending us in some battleground states by margins of up to three to one.

The pundits are saying this is how we could lose the election. You know what I say?

When you get knocked down, get up. There's no quit in America. There's nothing we can't do.

This week isn't just the Republican National Convention -- it's also the biggest fundraising deadline this campaign has seen, and one of the last. President Obama and I are counting on you.

Please make a donation of $3 or more today:

https://my.democrats.org/All-on-Us

We've been counted out more than a few times before. It's all on us to prove them wrong again.

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. -- I've seen a lot of good campaigns -- with smart, strong candidates and bold visions for the change we need -- go down, simply because they couldn't keep up. Don't let this campaign be one of them. Donate today.

Am I the only one who thinks the Vice President and other Democrats have begun to sound like a bunch of whiners?  It amazes me how and why Democrats are want to moan about how much less money they are raising for the election while Republicans are raising as much as three times more.  If I were still a Democrat, which thankfully, I am not, I would suggest to stop wasting time complaining and give the voters a reason to donate.

If Democrats had focused on unemployment and the economy, today they would be whining about their inability to raise enough donations.  Americans have always voted two ways: with ballots and with wallets.  In my opinion, Democrats are experiencing the effects of the American wallet vote, and they have no one but themselves to blame for a lack of donations.   Perhaps, if they had spent as much time fixing the job market and economy, people would have had the $3.00 requested as a donation to the Democratic Party!

Every time I receive an email from a Democrat asking me to donate $3.00 or more and whining about the funds being raised by Republicans I want to laugh.  I am also hopeful that the wallet vote is a precursor of November's elections.  Of course, if I am right, I imagine the morning after the election we will hear Democrats complaining they lost because they could not raise enough money.

Sunday, August 26, 2012

If I thought the Democrats were busy sending too many emails to a proclaimed ex- Democrat like myself, it appears it will become much worse, especially with both conventions on the horizon.  The first message I am going to share is from President Obama:

Donna --

It's August 23rd. And 75 days from now, I'll either be looking at another four years in the White House -- or the end of this opportunity.

I know what's at stake for the parents worrying about health care, the kids who need help to go to college, and the seniors who want a secure retirement.

But we're getting outspent by wide margins in critical battleground states -- and what we do about that today could be the difference between winning and losing on November 6th.

So as we near one of the last fundraising deadlines of this campaign, I'm asking you to pitch in $3 right now:

https://my.democrats.org/75-Days

Thanks for all you do,

Barack

My apologies to the current President, but nothing would make me happier than to continue to see the Republicans outspend the Democrats and to have the Republicans win with a landslide victory.  I think President Obama is operating with a warped sense of reality in reference to the economy, unemployment and health care.  He  seems to think if he says the economy is rebounding, the private sector is doing fine and Obama Care improves health care, then it is a fact.

If life worked real life worked that way, I could say I will enter the Boston Marathon this year, and it would be so.  Never mind the fact that I have Multiple Sclerosis and use either a walker or wheelchair to travel move more than a couple of feet.  President Obama's hopes and wishes, like my wishes to be free assistive devices, doesn't change the reality of a situation -- even if he is the current President of the United States.

Our country is at a unique point in history.  It is time for our citizens to take off the rose colored glasses which the Democrats, Nancy Pelosi and President Barack placed upon us four years ago.  Yes, President Obama's election marked a new point in American history.

However, he does not have the necessary experience and knowledge to bring the US out of it's current difficulties, which the President is unable to control.  Granted, the country had problems when he took his oath of office, but sadly, President Obama has caused those problems to become even more severe.   Due to his excessive spending, bailouts and stimulus attempts, it is feasible that my generation's grandchildren will still be paying off the country's current debt.  What's more if Obama is re-elected, we will see the debt grow even higher.

I have been pleased to see the Cafe Mom interviews on HLN this week.  I was glad to see that I am not alone.  There are many other female ex-Democrats who voted for President Obama four years ago, and who now regret the choice they made.  Women have in recent years led the call for changes in our country in the past, and now is the time for us to rally again.  We can bring positive change to our country, but it will only happen if we join forces and vote for Republican Mitt Romney.

Here is the email which was waiting for me today:

Jeffrey Lerner, Democrats.org

Democrats
Donna --

You have got to be kidding me. Yesterday, Mitt Romney said, and I quote:

"No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

This actually makes me feel sick when I think about it -- what it means when the leader of the Republican Party, a presidential candidate, stoops to this level.

The scariest part? His comment was met with cheers. It certainly fired up the extreme "birther" elements of the Republican base.

This has to stop, and it has to stop now. There's only one way to do that -- by making sure President Obama and Democrats across the board win on Election Day.

Donate $3 or more now to give Democrats the resources they need to cut through this crap and do what it takes to win in 73 days:

https://my.democrats.org/Birth-Certificate

Keep fighting,

Jeffrey

Jeffrey Lerner
Political Director
Democratic National Committee

I almost laughed when I read that email.  If Democrats are upset to hear comments concerning the President's birth certificate, there is a very simple way to stop the discussion.  Instead of releasing the shorter form of his birth certificate, all the President has to do is release the long version.  Once he does this, the questions would stop.

I am not saying the President is not a full American citizen from birth.  I am, however, wondering why he does not release his full birth certificate.  It seems to me if he really wanted to stop the questions about his citizenship, then he would simply provide the full certificate.  His refusal to do so is the impetus for all of the questions about his citizenship.

I am surprised by Jeffrey Lerner found fault with the following:

Yesterday, Mitt Romney said, and I quote:  "No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

Notice how Mr. Lerner simply provides the quote without providing any information about what was said or done prior to Mitt Romney's comment?  Also, I think if anything, Mitt Romney is simply making the remark that the media and citizens have no reason to ask for his birth certificate because, quite obviously, there are no discrepancies or gray areas around Presidential Candidate Romney's birth.  It is a shame there are questions about Obama's birth, but if he truly wanted to end the questions, he would release his full birth certificate.

I have never understood why it is the President refuses to provide the long form of his birth certificate.  The very fact he will not do so is the reason the questions about his birth will not go away.  If President Obama wants to end the questions, he knows what he has to do to end all inquiries.  I have to admit I have been curious about the reasons he has released only the short form, and I have found myself wondering why this is the case.

Still, President Obama's birth certificate is not the reason I no longer am in favor of him as a President.  I did not leave the Democratic Party because Obama would not release the long version of his birth certificate.  I left because what I have seen during the Obama Presidency is an inexperienced and misinformed man who is making a bad situation worse.

I left because I have seen Democrats, like the President and Nancy Pelosi, blame others for every problem in the country.  If you are elected to office, the problem is now yours.  If you make the problem even worse, it is still your problem.

I have seen the commercials in which the President before he was elected stated, if he did not fulfill his campaign promises concerning the debt, economy and unemployment, then he should not be re-elected.  He did not keep his promises to the American people.  By his own words, he should not be re-elected, so why is he running for a second term?

Americans have only to look at their own families and friends.  Are we in a better place financially?  Are people obtaining jobs, or are there still too many people unemployed and running out of unemployment benefits without any prospects for new employment?  Does Obama Care really provide your family with better health care?

I believe President Obama believed he would keep his campaign promises when he made them.  He certainly did not utter the words, "I should not be re-elected," if he thought there was a possibility he could not do what he said.  Unfortunately for him, he did utter those words, and it is now time for Americans to tell President he must keep this particular campaign promise because he broke all of the other ones.  Vote for Mitt Romney for President, and make Obama keep this one campaign promise.
