If I thought the Democrats were busy sending too many emails to a proclaimed ex- Democrat like myself, it appears it will become much worse, especially with both conventions on the horizon.  The first message I am going to share is from President Obama:

Donna --

It's August 23rd. And 75 days from now, I'll either be looking at another four years in the White House -- or the end of this opportunity.

I know what's at stake for the parents worrying about health care, the kids who need help to go to college, and the seniors who want a secure retirement.

But we're getting outspent by wide margins in critical battleground states -- and what we do about that today could be the difference between winning and losing on November 6th.

So as we near one of the last fundraising deadlines of this campaign, I'm asking you to pitch in $3 right now:

Thanks for all you do,

Barack

My apologies to the current President, but nothing would make me happier than to continue to see the Republicans outspend the Democrats and to have the Republicans win with a landslide victory.  I think President Obama is operating with a warped sense of reality in reference to the economy, unemployment and health care.  He  seems to think if he says the economy is rebounding, the private sector is doing fine and Obama Care improves health care, then it is a fact.

If life worked real life worked that way, I could say I will enter the Boston Marathon this year, and it would be so.  Never mind the fact that I have Multiple Sclerosis and use either a walker or wheelchair to travel move more than a couple of feet.  President Obama's hopes and wishes, like my wishes to be free assistive devices, doesn't change the reality of a situation -- even if he is the current President of the United States.

Our country is at a unique point in history.  It is time for our citizens to take off the rose colored glasses which the Democrats, Nancy Pelosi and President Barack placed upon us four years ago.  Yes, President Obama's election marked a new point in American history.

However, he does not have the necessary experience and knowledge to bring the US out of it's current difficulties, which the President is unable to control.  Granted, the country had problems when he took his oath of office, but sadly, President Obama has caused those problems to become even more severe.   Due to his excessive spending, bailouts and stimulus attempts, it is feasible that my generation's grandchildren will still be paying off the country's current debt.  What's more if Obama is re-elected, we will see the debt grow even higher.

I have been pleased to see the Cafe Mom interviews on HLN this week.  I was glad to see that I am not alone.  There are many other female ex-Democrats who voted for President Obama four years ago, and who now regret the choice they made.  Women have in recent years led the call for changes in our country in the past, and now is the time for us to rally again.  We can bring positive change to our country, but it will only happen if we join forces and vote for Republican Mitt Romney.

Here is the email which was waiting for me today:

Donna --

You have got to be kidding me. Yesterday, Mitt Romney said, and I quote:

"No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

This actually makes me feel sick when I think about it -- what it means when the leader of the Republican Party, a presidential candidate, stoops to this level.

The scariest part? His comment was met with cheers. It certainly fired up the extreme "birther" elements of the Republican base.

This has to stop, and it has to stop now. There's only one way to do that -- by making sure President Obama and Democrats across the board win on Election Day.

Donate $3 or more now to give Democrats the resources they need to cut through this crap and do what it takes to win in 73 days:

I almost laughed when I read that email.  If Democrats are upset to hear comments concerning the President's birth certificate, there is a very simple way to stop the discussion.  Instead of releasing the shorter form of his birth certificate, all the President has to do is release the long version.  Once he does this, the questions would stop.

I am not saying the President is not a full American citizen from birth.  I am, however, wondering why he does not release his full birth certificate.  It seems to me if he really wanted to stop the questions about his citizenship, then he would simply provide the full certificate.  His refusal to do so is the impetus for all of the questions about his citizenship.

I am surprised by Jeffrey Lerner found fault with the following:

Yesterday, Mitt Romney said, and I quote:  "No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

Notice how Mr. Lerner simply provides the quote without providing any information about what was said or done prior to Mitt Romney's comment?  Also, I think if anything, Mitt Romney is simply making the remark that the media and citizens have no reason to ask for his birth certificate because, quite obviously, there are no discrepancies or gray areas around Presidential Candidate Romney's birth.  It is a shame there are questions about Obama's birth, but if he truly wanted to end the questions, he would release his full birth certificate.

I have never understood why it is the President refuses to provide the long form of his birth certificate.  The very fact he will not do so is the reason the questions about his birth will not go away.  If President Obama wants to end the questions, he knows what he has to do to end all inquiries.  I have to admit I have been curious about the reasons he has released only the short form, and I have found myself wondering why this is the case.

Still, President Obama's birth certificate is not the reason I no longer am in favor of him as a President.  I did not leave the Democratic Party because Obama would not release the long version of his birth certificate.  I left because what I have seen during the Obama Presidency is an inexperienced and misinformed man who is making a bad situation worse.

I left because I have seen Democrats, like the President and Nancy Pelosi, blame others for every problem in the country.  If you are elected to office, the problem is now yours.  If you make the problem even worse, it is still your problem.

I have seen the commercials in which the President before he was elected stated, if he did not fulfill his campaign promises concerning the debt, economy and unemployment, then he should not be re-elected.  He did not keep his promises to the American people.  By his own words, he should not be re-elected, so why is he running for a second term?

Americans have only to look at their own families and friends.  Are we in a better place financially?  Are people obtaining jobs, or are there still too many people unemployed and running out of unemployment benefits without any prospects for new employment?  Does Obama Care really provide your family with better health care?

I believe President Obama believed he would keep his campaign promises when he made them.  He certainly did not utter the words, "I should not be re-elected," if he thought there was a possibility he could not do what he said.  Unfortunately for him, he did utter those words, and it is now time for Americans to tell President he must keep this particular campaign promise because he broke all of the other ones.  Vote for Mitt Romney for President, and make Obama keep this one campaign promise.
